VICTORIAVILLE, Que. - Yan Pavel Laplante scored four goals as the Victoriaville Tigres humbled the Cape Breton Screaming Eagles with a 12-3 blowout in Quebec Major Junior Hockey League play Saturday. Laplante scored the first three goals of the game and all four in the first period. The opening 11 minutes of the game included a hat trick by Laplante and a hooking penalty called on him that resulted in a missed Cape Breton penalty shot. Laplantes two assists gave him a six-point game. Gabriel Gagne and Carl Marois scored two each for the Tigres (18-19-6), while Jean-Francois Plante added a single and Angelo Miceli had a goal and five assists. Cameron Darcy had two goals for the Screaming Eagles (22-18-3) with Loik Leveille also scoring. Francois Tremblay finished with 30 saves for Victoriaville. In Cape Bretons net, Zachary Fortin allowed 10 goals on 30 shots.
